As a kid, I wanted to be a librarian, then an author, then a journalist, then a marketing/communications professional. Do you see a common theme here? I’m passionate about language and telling stories, whether that’s fictional tales or, more often, articles about an individual, product, business or organization that’s making a mark on this world. I specialize in health care and feature writing–but don’t pin me down because I’ll take any job that sparks my interest and gets those creative juices flowing.

In my other life, I’m the mother of four kind and capable kids (now teens and young adults), wife to a Presbyterian pastor who makes me laugh like none other, a volunteer for umpteen causes (most having to do with my church or kids) and an imperfect but well-intentioned friend, neighbor and citizen of the world.

I grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Now I live in Sacramento, Calif., where I never tire of sunshine and warm weather.
